We are looking for a competent Inventory Manager to monitor and report on the company’s inventory. Your job is important since the efficient handling of the company’s products and is critical for the attainment of business goals. A successful inventory manager is a reliable professional with excellent record-keeping abilities. They possess great attention to detail and a business mindset. The goal is to ensure that all business operations have adequate stock to achieve their objectives.

The Inventory Manager plays a key role in a dynamic team involved in many aspects of cannabis businesses in a compliant and permitted environment. Our team has start up energy, is committed to professionalism, integrity and has high standards of productivity and work quality. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years experience with inventory planning and management, and a strong grasp on inventory management software and the creation of reports of in Microsoft Excel. Inventory experience in the cannabis industry is a plus. Business degree preferred, but not required as consideration will be weighed towards experience.

Responsibilities and Duties

Leading the Inventory team, the Inventory Manager will oversee all facets of inventory management including in a variety of day to day, weekly and monthly tasks. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Following and optimizing inventory control procedures
  • Placing orders to replenish stock, avoiding both insufficiencies and excessive surplus
  • Recording and processing daily deliveries and shipments to reconcile inventory
  • Liaising with brands and distributors to coordinate deliveries
  • Overseeing receiving, warehousing and stocking of all orders
  • Captaining and execution of weekly cycle counts
  • Reporting to upper management on stock levels, sales trends, etc.
  • Working with partners to ensure menu accuracy and rectify issues
  • Purchasing office supplies
  • Managing Employee Purchase program

Qualifications and Skills

This role is quantitative in nature and there are specific qualifications and skills that are required to succeed in the role:

  • Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • 2+ years Inventory/demand planning experience
  • Working knowledge of inventory management software/ERP
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Unparalleled attention to detail in all aspects of work
  • An analytical mind with the ability to creatively problem solve
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new software and procedures
  • Reliable and trustworthy
  • At least 21 years of age
