We’re looking for an experienced, creative, high-energy professional to lead our growing team as Director of Sales. In this role, you will own all aspects of NorCal Cannabis sales strategy and report directly to executive leadership. You’ll have a unique opportunity to do your best work with a product that’s already growing quickly, proven at scale, loved by customers, and teed up for accelerated growth with an ambitious roadmap.

This role is perfect for a senior-level sales leader (5+ years’ experience) who is looking to join a fast-growing startup with a strong mission. If you have built a team from the ground up, are a strategic thinker, loaded with a quantitative skill set, have a proven track record of implementing successful sales strategies, but are also comfortable rolling up your sleeves and helping close deals then we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement a strategic plan for NCC sales in each of our channels:
  1. B2B: Wholesale retail packaged cannabis goods to distributors
  2. B2B: Wholesale retail packaged goods direct to retail dispensary
  3. B2B: Wholesale bulk flowers and extract to distributors and manufacturers  
  • Build and manage the sales team to revenue and growth targets
  • Develop annual operating budgets and forecasts for short- and long-range goals
  • Implement systems for supporting sales success such as CRM
  • Create a culture of  high-performance amongst the  sales team
  • Create sales forecasts
  • Partner with Distribution and Operations to ensure alignment cross functionally
  • Monitor customer, market, and competitor activity and provide feedback to the company leadership team and other functional areas
  • Work closely with the marketing and product management functions to establish and execute successful marketing and lead generation programs
  • Manage effective processes for business and sales planning, sales compensation, territory planning, and account planning
  • Maintain impeccable data quality in tracking leads and opportunities
  • Generate regular reports and forecasts for the President and CEO

Qualifications:

  • 5 years sales experience in sales and sales management including leading teams,forecasting, leading field and inside sales and account management
  • Ability to craft a solution with appropriate products and services that meets business goals based on client discussions
  • Strong leadership and management skills.  Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to present data and conclusions in an organized concise manner at all levels
  • Organized and detailed oriented
